1 year agoWow, what a beautiful bird. I’ve never seen one, but it’s a tricolored heron.
1 year agoNot sure about a flycatcher, but it’s a pretty reasonable facsimile of a western bluebird.
1 year agoWe enjoyed both, but found the frantic energy of the markets too exhausting. We will probably stick with the calmer historical centre and the square next time ourselves.
1 year agoI think we would stick to the historic center and enjoy the square. When we were there a band played one night and there were people dancing - lots of older couples. So fun to watch!
1 year agoYou might be interested to know that they have replaced some of the horse and buggy carts in Centro with electric carts and they have also developed a new transportation route that uses electric trams that leave from la gran Parque la plancha, a newly developed park of 22 hectares using the old train yards.

1 year agoThis is why I like to create routes at home on my laptop, so I can use Street View to check where the algorithm thinks cyclists should go. No Street View makes me suspicious and requires more investigation.
1 year agoWe always pack a small sealed (unopened) bottle of our preferred chain lube with our bikes when we leave for a tour. It saves hunting around to buy some. Al always wants to find a shop to buy CO2 cartridges before we start riding but we have never needed them. The chain lube always gets used.
