🤣 it had its beauty...but definitely one of those roads we wouldn't do again but are chuffed that we did it!
7 months agoThanks Doug, it is both of those. Now we are heading into Botswana. Flat road for 1200km. Won't be as spectacular, but it might be fun looking out for the elephants!
7 months agoI am not an entomologist either... Did have one course in college though, which was enough to point me in the right direction to compare photos.
7 months agoIn dry weather it's one of the best sports. Dry, out of the wind and out of site! Though in Namibia, who knows what type of animal might use it as a thoroughfare 😳
7 months agoHi Scott. Yep, it was hot and so so dry, especially when the wind started to blow. Beautiful though....though I didn't appreciate when it got tough😁
7 months agoLooks quite like it and the description seems to fit but I'm not entomologist!! Thanks for the links.
7 months agoIn training for what was to come!
7 months agoTough roads!
8 months agoWhat an amazing place! Great for a Rogaine maybe?! But I can see more than one dead tree.... Did you climb the sand dune?
8 months agoHats off. Wow.
8 months agoThis looks so horrible.
8 months agoHow great you decided to take time now to fo this tour while you are still young! We retired 7 years ago and sold our condo and took off on an 8 week cycle tour in Europe which we had planned before we decided to hit the road. We’ve done several long bicycle tours since then and have no plans to settle down.
8 months agoThat looks awful! You both are really tough!
8 months agoWhat a beautiful spot! It’s great you ran into Nigel and Julie.
