1 week agoYou and my son could have bypassed each other at the Zurich airport! Once every three months he goes to Switzerland to meet with colleagues from around the world. They hole up for a week and do their nerdy best on their computer engineering. This time, my son had no accomodations when he arrived in Zurich airport so I don't know if he slept in the airport or not. Thank goodness - my son can sleep anywhere!
1 week agoWe went to Gimmelwald last time we were in Switzerland based on a Rick steves recommendation. It was rainy and cold and we stopped in the pension for some hot chocolate and to warm up. We said then that if we ever came back we wanted to stay there so we did!
1 week agoAnd you have the aching quads to prove it!
1 week agoLet's pile up under the covers for another night...ahhhhhhhhhhh
1 week agoMy mom and dad's retirement house was heated by a wood stove. In cold weather my dad would pull his easy chair right up next to the stove. He would fry bologna on the stove top and feed it to himself and his little dog that sat right at his feet.
1 week agoHow lovely - how did you find such a nice place?
