A cold Coke tastes so good after riding!

Yikes - that was quite the laundry "adventure" a la Murphy's Law! Makes riding to the laundromat and hanging out look pretty good 😜

You guys are tough! I know you stay in great condition so you can do this. We are really enjoying this adventure because you are in an area we know so well. We lived in Eugene for 3 years while Paul got his degree at U of O. Our our families lived in Bend. So many trips to the coast - all up and down it - and trips back and forth to Bend. We even did the McKenzie Hwy a couple times when we weren't in a hurry. Amazing scenery anywhere you go. I'm glad you stop and admire it from time to time because I know you can't gawk when you are cycling.

If it wasn't the land of the free and home of the brave I might suggest "owning the lane"

At least there's a bicycle sign to hopefully alert the drivers :-)

Take good care of your butt, Sis. Hoping it feels better tomorrow.

I'm breaking in a new Brooks saddle so can definitely sympathize with not all being well in the backside right now :-)

Beware of the rabbits! Those knights searching for the Holy Grail had their guard down just before the rabbits attacked.

You wrote "or as loud as the hiker/biker campsite in Whitefish, MT. " I can second that! Those trains woke me all throughout the night. Looking forward to following along on your adventure. I have ridden the Transam, so your route will rekindle some memories for me. Best of luck!

Smash burgers sounds way better than the first day's dinner in 2009 of frozen burritos from a convenience store. Well done!
