The big ships take the Welland Canal, up near Niagara Falls.

I think it's bigger than a pedestrian bridge, but it's been out of commission for a long time. A lot of steel there.

I'm sure this was the most expensive lock. It's actually a triple lock, with one set of mechanized locks and one set of manually operated.

Actually, there were two other identical tractors on this site. They might be imported, but I really don't know.

But it doesn't have to. I saw plenty neatly kept houses that were obviously own be people with no money, but who had respect for the land. This type of mess is just pathological. And the messes generally are not incomplete projects - it's just useless junk that didn't make it past the front yard.

The walls shielded me from the wind, and the toilet didn't stink at all, so actually a slight upgrade from the field. Plus, I won't have to take down the tent in the morning.

New York has a lot of bike routes that shouldn't be ridden on. Route 5, that I rode with Will 10 years ago comes to mind.
