Well done and congratulations.
3 months agoI was just going to ask if they were “channeling through the Anderson’s”🤔
3 months agoI will assume you already checked with the Villa Regina about the jacket?

3 months agoI know how relieved you must have been to find the key. We've done that one too.
3 months agoHi
Really enjoying your journal and looks like you are having a fantastic time.
Perhaps you have addressed these in earlier posts but I have some questions on the practicalities of ebike touring as myself and my wife are planning some a big ebike tour next year.
1. What size batteries are on your bike's?
2. What mode do you typically use when not climbing hills
3. Do you ever have low battery angst that you will run out before you reach your accommodation or do you always plan distances that you know you can comfortably complete with the battery size you have.
Many thanks
Vinnie
Like the pun!
3 months agoAt least your unexpectedly long day was "only" 70 km. In the last week we had 2 days of nearly 100 km, each. Some sort of routing error that turned 50 km days into nearly double that. Oh well, these things happen.
3 months agoYour shoes are just aside your feet, Dave, IF you are wondering where they are 😂
3 months agoGood thing you ARE wearing sunglasses 😆
3 months agoAbout the cups: have you tried a double-walled titanium mug? I prefer the style without handles (they rattle but could be solved with a rubber band). Single-wall means handles required and burnt lip if you like your beverage hot. Not collapsible but something can go inside.
3 months agoEarwax doohickie. There's a new topic for your journal. HAHA!
3 months agoOK. I found the train travel segment was worth reading. It's your first journal entry that made me nervous. Eager for more :):)
3 months agoNot a cyclist, but I surely enjoy reading these blogs. Please keep cycling so we can all enjoy your adventures (and mishaps)!

About Narbonne. We got caught out by the lack of a lift there a few years ago. I wonder if the solution might be to get off the train at the station before Narbonne (Coursan, where everything is flat) and cycle the remaining nine kilometres into Narbonne (Maybe via the Ancien Route de Coursan) . You could get a ticket to Narbonne and decide to jump off early if it looks good.
