That was my first thought too!

We have donecexactly that sort of thing. Once we even rode around the small village, twice, and finally asked a man in his yard where our place was. Why right here, said he, pointing to the sign above the door. We felt really silly.

Laughing (sympathetically since we have been there also) at your plight. Noticed the panniers in the bottom left of the photo. Take 'em off, hike a bike, put 'em back on, keep riding.

Dodie has fine tuned the technique for ending long conversations between myself and random strangers by first announcing, pleasantly, that we need to go, and if that is not successful she just pedals off, slowly. At that point the conversation ends and all is well. This, of course, assumes that setting off is what you wanted to do.

Looks like something Musk would have designed.

Thanks for the info Rich, just hanging out in Kobarid Slovenia having our post ride recovery bevy and read up on the tub. Quite interesting. I guess it’s been a fixture / tourist attraction at Monfalcone for a while..it’s almost the ultimate in conspicuous consumption, a parlour game for the oligarchs .

Golden retrievers are the most friendly and cuddly dogs. Glad you met this one to help lift your mood.

So true. That’s why we really liked running into the puppy about 30 seconds later. Good reset of our frame of mind

We’ve been found out! Yes it’s true that I often don’t know what day it is. Thanks for pointing out our time travel. I’ll chalk it up to fat fingers (12 is right below 5 on the tiny iPhone calendar). On the 12th we’re going to be at our friend Borut’s place in Preddvor Slovenia!

Dodie always wanted to have some put up in Berlin at her Dad's family's last known residence but never seemed to get through the paperwork. It is so distressing to come across these. Evidence of the cruelty people can inflict on their fellow humans.

Hi time travellers. Yesterday's entry was dated May 4, and today is dated May 12!! Did you lose track of the days, or the time, or are you currently in an alternate universe/time zone???
