Day 15: Dease Lake to Boya Lake Provincial Park

Today was a good day for wildlife viewing. I saw three bears, a moose with 2 calves, a rabbit and a number of mountain goats.

I stayed at the Boya Provincial Park Campground ($16) on a site by the lake. When I pulled in there was a gentleman next door. He offered me some rice which was very kind and saved me from having to cook. His name is Matt. He's a nurse who worked in Washington, but resigned and is headed back to Alaska. Unfortunately, his father is having some health issues. We had a good chat. He's a cool guy. He has done kayaking trips weeks long and give picture shows/presentations in his home town of Homer.

The best feature of the campground was the water. It was spring-fed and beautifully cold.

From near my campsite in Boya Lake Provincial Park. As an added bonus, they had the best cold spring water ever!
