Day 14: Kinaska Lake Provincial Park to Dease Lake

It was quite cold this morning - down to 5 degrees Celsius when I got up.

There was lots of climbing today. There was a big climb in the morning and a big climb out of the valley by the Stikine River. It should have been a nice descent to the river, but unfortunately there was construction and lots of loose gravel. I had to go quite slowly down the hill. :( I had a chat with a truck driver before the descent. He does the Smithers to Dease Lake run twice a week. On his way back, he greeted me with a honk and a wave.

I stopped off at Iskut for some food along the way. They have a good general store there.

Stayed at the Water's Edge Campground ($18) just north of town.
