I've done two journals on this site and never filled out a profile. So here goes, I'm in my late 60's ,absolutely love bike riding ever since I was little biking's in my blood. The idea of riding across the USA has been rattling around in my head since I was about twenty.Life happened ,my dream had to wait until retirement. With only a few weeks of vacation a year a big bike tour is out of the question. I've done three bike tours since retiring. The first one was from Wilmington,NC to Richmond,VA then back to my home in Greensboro,NC. My wife called this trip the "Figure it out trip",Find what works and what doesn't. The Second trip was a cross country trip from home to Santa Monica,CA using the Trans-Am trail and the ACA's Route 66.The third one was from my home in South Texas to Delhi,LA.
