I'm a 53 year old retiree, having recently left a career in public service, and newly embarked on a second career of cycling. Which, honestly, is far more invigorating, because it requires zero emails. I live in the south west of England, which is the bit with the hills (and the beaches, incidentally, although they're markedly less helpful for road bike training). 

I've always enjoyed physical challenges and am now loving my new-found opportunity to take on a few more, in company with my Fairlight Strael bike, Raven. We started with the Land's End to John O'Groats route, in 14 days, and I'm now pretty used to long day rides, which always, but always, include cake. Looking forward to getting further afield once the family are used to the idea... 2025 we're planning for France and Spain.
