For just a one week  excursion, Dodie and I can normally quickly select from our shelves of fairly organized cycling stuff, and go. If we forget something, we'll survive. But with kids in the equation, we want to be more careful. So we set aside this morning to make sure all the gear they'll need on the road is carefully piled up and organized. Little plastic box to hold their (critical) iPad ear buds and chargers - check! Enough water bottles? Check! Sunscreen? Long pants and sleeves for extreme sun? Gloves? (Gloves!), Sunglasses? Check! Check!

Of course, it is wrong to say "we" set side the time to make sure about the kids' stuff. Dodie is actually the organizing genius. I am lucky to find my own shorts!
