Metz: A lazy day

The wheels of the bikes did not turn today. We spent the time exploring this interesting city and EATING. I will let the pictures tell the story.

A pair of german Cycle Tourists - they are the only others we have seen recently and today were riding from Metz to Verdun. A long ride when they were setting out after 10am, at least I was able to tell them it was 73km not 83km!

The stained glass is magnificent and contrasts so well against the yellow stone - it photographs extremely poorly

This tiny organ has been high up here since 1530. It is called the 'Organ in the Swallows Nest' At present it has no pipes - dont know how you would get to it perhaps a matter of rock climbing
