Marching Through Georgia

No, I haven't flown across the country to Atlanta.
But I did visit Boise State University campus -
and dropped into an empty history department -
to see if Prof. Lisa Brady, my grad school friend,  was in.
No luck - - but then again, it's summer and I'm off course.

Just a lazy day with Stan. Joseph is off to a wedding this afternoon.
I will admit to being overwhelmed by all the traffic,
although Stan says that late morning traffic is light.

Stan and I took 3 or 4 walks today incluing on the BSU campus.
The school is right next to the river and riverwalk and parks.
So, it is a very pretty campus that is parklike.
Very few students, but still some nice sight-seeing.

What about Georgia, you ask?
Well, we watched a PBS interview with Sen. Warnock.
And the January 6th Committee was talking bout Raffensberger.
And there were trucks going by, even in Boise, with Confederate flags.

And if you know the history of "Marching Through Georgia" -
it was a song that celebrted Sherman's march across Georgia.
Not to mention that Prof. Brady wrote her dissertation
on the environmental ipacts of Sherman's march.
And it's a catchy tune, too.

Stayed up way, way too late talking with Stan.
And Mr. Moochie - old man that he is - yowled thru the night.
But, still, everything was great.
