Day 1: Dashing Out the Door

As usual, the "recommendations" to stay put and not do domestic travel. It seems they love to punish us. International trips are already off the table, and the next best alternative they want to curtail. I was having none of that.

The plan was to ride a bicycle to Suzhou and do a fitness class on arrival.

First stop of the trip, this was nice for a Starbucks visit.

I bumped into this guy at the hotel, he happened to be doing a similar trip as me but a different direction. He is a leader of one of the cycling communities

The biking itself was super easy and after the class I booked into a nice hotel at the Novotel where my wife and her family would later join this trip by taking the train.
