Day 60 Plymouth, MA

It was a beautiful day for cycling - warm and sunny with a light breeze.  We had a good breakfast at our B&B while talking with a family from the UK who are now living in Sweden.  They were warm and friendly and a pleasure to meet.

We couldn't find any interesting stops today.  Two places were closed for renovation and a couple more were closed because it's Sunday.  I decided it would be a good day to take pictures of buildings.

This is a building in Barnstable built in 1855 as a customs office, later also used as a post office and now the home of a Coast Guard Heritage Museum.

We stopped at a liquor store looking for a restroom and Paul very graciously allowed Kerry to use it.  He was chuckling and  said he had turned down two cyclists just before we arrived, but he saw that we were traveling and thought we deserved a break.  Thanks, Paul!

In Sandwich, we stopped at the Dexter Grist Mill.  It is closed, but we walked around the outside.

Sandwich was the last town on the Cape we visited.  We walked the bike across the Sagamore Bridge back to the mainland.

On the mainland, we rode into Plymouth.

This is the surprisingly small Plymouth Rock. It is a part of the rock which had been moved numerous times. It is now about 1/3 its original size.

There were many boats in the Plymouth Harbor.
