Our motel in Rimouski last night had a nice view of the river and a well used bike route.

There is an  excellent bike trail that runs through Rimouski.  It had two lanes for bikes and an adjacent pedestrian path.

We were too optimistic yesterday, thinking that we were done with the big climbs now that we had reached the river.  We had some challenging ones today.  We left the riverfront south of Rimouski and got into some serious hills.

View from the top of a climb. We needed a little four on the floor for this one. It was over 10%.

We had lots of nice scenery to see today - riverfront views, mountains and farmland.

We got back in sight of the river north of Trois-Pistoles.

There is no restaurant close to our motel, so we stopped at Fromagerie des Basques in town and picked up cheese, sausage and bread. We look so "Quebecois" with our baguette in the seat bag.
