Day 1 Home to Mt. Dora
We pedaled out of our driveway this morning with a great send-off from our wonderful friends Gail and Jerry and Cathy and Stan. Within 30 minutes, we remembered a couple of important things left undone in the house before we left, but one quick call and all was made right. Thank you, Cathy and Stan.
After stopping to say good-bye to friends at our two bike shops in Inverness, we headed east on Hwy 44 to Mt. Dora. The ride was great but it was HOT. We'll have to used to that in a hurry or we won't get Two Far :) It was so hot we both drank a lot of water in addition to our Diet Coke.
We're at the Quality Inn in Mt. Dora overlooking a nice little lake. Tomorrow we head to New Smyrna Beach to rendezvous with Team A.
Luckily, we got into our room and went out to dinner before this moved in.
