The Loop

Different Directions

There is a ride in Tucson called 'The Loop' and Stephen and I decided we better ride it today! It is entirely on bike path!

We packed up all our stuff and tossed it in the van and off we rode! Emma, Carol and Charlie packed up, picked up Carol's ID bracelet she had dropped while on our ride, had lunch at the Food Co-op and drove up to Scottsdale.

As we were leaving the park, a group came to set up for a birthday party for their 3 year olds!

Off the path to have a coffee.

When I bought our coffee the store looked normal. When I went back in to use the bathroom, every single chair, table and display had disappeared. As soon as we got up from our outside table, a fellow came out to pick up the chairs out there. It'll be grab and go from now on until the end of COVID19!

Bill ShaneyfeltHard to tell without a closeup. Could be one of several different yellow flowering shrubs... But my from size bush and shape, my first guess would be creosote bush... However, I have never seen them with such thick flowering!

The trains were miles long but all things must end and this one did. We finished up our 57 miles, loaded up the bikes and headed north.

Meanwhile we get a note from Suzie. This is how many people were on her flight this morning. She is heading to Joshua Tree to do some rock climbing.

Dennis made it home. He said his flight was also not full and he could pick his seat and his neighbor and watch movies!

Chris lives here in Scottsdale in the winter and we will head for his house tomorrow to first hike and then ride to Tempe Lake! More to come! Have a good night! Stay healthy - Universal Precautions.

Today's ride: 57 miles (92 km)
Total: 85 miles (137 km)
