A Day of Undulating

Jugiong to Wagga Wagga

At 7am the temperature was about 2°C  and fog was rolling into Jugiong as we rolled out. The first 30km was easy on a comparatively quiet Hume Highway which took us to Gundagai, and a turnoff to Wagga Wagga. The next 90km was not so easy due to numerous rolling hills on the Nangus Rd route to Wagga Wagga. However the views were excellent, traffic was light and the weather was almost perfect.

The good news today is that we’ve rendezvoused in Wagga Wagga with friend John Frampton who also cycled toured from Canberra, but via the mountainous route over the Brindabella Range to Tumut. John will ride with our group through to South Australia.

Accommodation was a cabin at the Big 4 caravan park on the Sturt Highway near the centre of Wagga Wagga..
