Day 3 - Williamsburg to Richmond, VA
Biked from Williamsburg to Richmond, VA. Met up with most of the rest of my cross country group. We’ve actually never met each other in-person until now, although we’ve been planning together online for months. We came from all different states/countries. We also met another rider Paul (top-left in purple) who we hadn't met before also happened to be starting his own cross-country ride.

It was a hot 91 degrees today. During the ride we met a cyclist who was the pastor at Willis United Methodist Church. He told us that his church is known for hosting hundreds of cyclists each year since they are along the route and invited us to stay there that night.
We eventually arrived at the church but found that it was locked (it was a Saturday). It was getting dark so we started to setup our tents on the grass next to the Church. Eventually someone with keys to the church arrived. One-by-one the roughly dozen of us came out of the dark grassy area which surprised the person who worked at the church, "ya'll are coming out like children of the corn".
Inside we had a kitchen to prepare food, showers, electricity, and other comforts which we were thankful for.
Sara, one of the riders in our group from Indiana, recorded a video blog capturing the day, and would continue to share videos of every day of the trip.
