Singapore: Midnight flight out of South Korea

Our flight was delayed for a while by a dramatic thunderstorm. The flight was uneventful and I managed to get a bit of sleep. Our boxes were waiting for us when we got through passport control and we wandered down to the furthest end of the terminal to assemble the bicycles.

While a thunderstorm was trying to develop, we were trying to get out the airport and down to the eastern coastal parkway. After eight kilometers of cycling, we eventually gave up and coughed up for a people-carrier type taxi to carry us to our digs in Joo Chiat Road. It was too early to check in so, despite being exhausted, we wandered up to Geylang Road and cased out some of the eating opportunities. Lunch was Nasi Ayam (chicken rice) at a big food hall. Then it was back to the hotel where we could now check-in.

Today's ride: 8 km (5 miles)
Total: 2,414 km (1,499 miles)
