Seoul to Jung-gu: The end of the Four Rivers Route

Today saw us finishing off the Four Rivers Route by cycling to the start/end point in north Inchenon.

From there we needed to get to Jung-du near the Inchenon International Airport on the island just off the coast of Inchenon. The original plan was to cycle from the end of the Four Rivers Route down to Wolmido Island from where we would catch a ferry to the airport island. I got chatting to some Koreans at the end of the route who either advised me that (a) the ferry doesn't exist or (b) the ferry does run but the route to the ferry port is too dangerous to cycle. It would have been an 18km cycle through the middle Inchenon city to get to the ferry port so we ended up catching the train (the station was only two kilometers away) and getting off at the first stop on the island.

From there we cycled down to the guesthouse we had booked near the airport. We had hoped to keep public transport down to ferries on this trip but at least we kept the train journey down to one stop.

Today's ride: 67 km (42 miles)
Total: 2,406 km (1,494 miles)
