We started the morning watching the sun rise over the sea while we enjoyed a cup of coffee and green tea. Then we had a quick swim and a great breakfast (included in the room price) and started off up towards Ban Krud.

The route we took varied from concrere single width tracks to 4 digit roads and was mostly very flat, quite and peaceful. After a short stop in Bang Saphan to look for a butane gas cartridge we carried on to the coast south of Ban Krud where we started looking for accommodation. The first few were either fully booked, closed or out of our price range but we knew we would find something vaguely suitable eventually. The settled on the Tharnvara Beach Resort just short of Ban Krud. Simple and clean but at 800 baht probably a bit more than we would have liked to pay. However, it has a good location and all the facilities we need.
