Kaeng Krachan

We were hoping that Ian, the owner of Baan Maka, would be able to organise a bird guide for us for a trip into the Kaeng Krachan National Park but this wasn't possible given the short notice.  However, birders on the whole are great people and a couple from north-west England, Ian and Sandra, kindly offered to take us with them since they had a car available.  So we spent a lovely morning in great company birding the lower reaches of the National Park.  Some great birds but not many worthwhile photographs.

Last bit of birding at Baan Maka. Although, this is not strictly true - a few minutes later we picked up a lifer in Forest Wagtail as we walked back to our room.
