Shibetsu

The rain chucked down all night accompanied by some dramatic thunder and lightning.  It stopped at about six o'clock this morning and,  as the tent started to dry just before nine, it started again.  Thankfully this mornings showers didn't last long. and the rest of the day has been sunny but very windy.

The campsite above Shibetsu is pretty basic and it is a slog to get here from town and the Onsen but we decided to take a rest day.  Our muscles need a bit of a rest after more than 700 kilometers in the past twelve days plus I had some work that needed attention.

So once it had stopped raining I cycled into town and bought some food for breakfast and lunch.  Then I managed to get a few hours of good work done.
We plan to visit the Onsen again later today for our daily scrub and soak after which we will have supper in the restaurant again.
