On to Vevey by train, some luggage caught up with us

This morning we headed around lake Geneva on the train to Vevey where we met up with our bikes for our trip through Switzerland. We explored Vevy on foot walking along the lake and checked out a sporting goods store in case our luggage didn’t catch up to us quickly. This afternoon two of our bags arrived but the third is not yet here…. After dinner we walked through the old part of Vevey and along the lake in the other direction saw a chateau and several sculptures in the park.

Yay! Our bikes are here and ready to go!

Ready to get on the train. Luckily we packed a change of clothes in our backpacks….

Along the waterfront in Vevey, seahorses riding across the water

It’s hard to believe that there are tall mountains hidden by those clouds

Lots or different roses along the lakeside path

There is a river/stream with its banks corralled that runs through the center of Vevy and down to the lake. Today it was boiling down and outside its banks in some places. You can see the plume of muddy water well out in the lake from the running water

Last time we were here the water flowing in was very placid in comparison.

There is a nice city park along the banks

They have an equipment rental system for volleyballs, ping pong paddles etc. right in the park.

You can just barely see the other end of the rainbow. It’s right over the red dot on the far dock.

Tomorrow we will do a shakedown ride on our bikes to visit Chillon castle about 7 miles one way. That way we will be all set to start our tour the next day.

Woohoo!! late night call with good news! The third bag has arrived so now we have all of our luggage!!!
