The name's... well, some now call me codger.
My UK trip could turn out to be more MIA than an MI6 escapade, as this year sees me become a septuagenarian. Nevertheless, what better way to celebrate still being alive and cycling than riding for a few months?
Various routes have been plotted that loop around where I'll be based in Lincolnshire, plus a ride around the country's scenic far southwestern corner - Cornwall - as well as a tour though the Black Country and over to Ireland's west coast.
Spoiler alert: there's no Bond girl. Sadly Debbie isn't joining me this year, so I'll be recruiting some cycling sidekicks, chief among them being my buddy Dave, who's again putting me up at his roomy bachelor pad just outside Lincoln.
Coincidently, it's 70 years since Moonraker was published, which is the only James Bond novel that Ian Fleming based in England. If you think this cycle agent should be in a more exotic location, well, the action starts in Taiwan...
