Si Racha to Chonburi

Then Bus to Bangkok

After a delicious morning breakfast and another late start, it was the same pattern as yesterday, somehow drag myself out to the road and do another mere 30km and then pack it in.  I just wasn't finding the motivation here.  After all this time off the bike, finally time to be on the bike and no real inclination to ride.  It didn't make sense.

There's a useful thing to prevent viruses. We could ask why they don't have them in Chinese shopping malls, but let's not.

At the Chonburi bus terminal, the task was to find a bus that would get me back to Bangkok.  I got somewhat lucky in that they could sell me a ticket and they reassured me it was a "big bus" but I was getting skeptical because I haven't seen many of these big buses plying the route between Bangkok and Chonburi any more in recent times.  I know they used to exist, and sure enough my suspicions were confirmed when the dreaded minibus showed up.  Thankfully it wasn't full and the driver was ok about me hauling the bike on, he didn't even charge so I definitely came out ahead on this one.  But still it was a roll of the dice no doubt.

It's possible that with all the uncertainty about the coronavirus and how I don't even know when I'm restarting work, this is adding to the uncertainty of where I should go biking here.  And certainly it feels like I need more rest so back to Bangkok it was.  I figured once there I could do a few more financial errands, some F45 fitness classes, visit the dentist, and also an InterNations social event.

Once in Bangkok I found a nice little resort near the On Nut BTS station and proceeded to chill some more.
