Day 59, West Point, NE to Norfolk, NE

The weather was kinder to us today. Favorable winds, Temperatures in the high 70s and low 80s and a nice wide shoulder on the highway.
Started around 8 a.m. and ended our ride around 1 p.m. We had an interesting discussion with a woman, Cindy, running the operation in a Dollar General store. It so happens that her son lives and works in Seattle and she has a niece who a teacher around Belingham, WA. She had plenty to say about her young ones and her travels to the Pacific coast.
We also made a rest stop and an intersection where a Highway patrolman was set up. I ventured over to his car and asked some questions about the local roads. He basically said that the road we were on was the best bet for getting into Norfolk.
Nice to have an afternoon off.
It sure is nice to have Travis along to take care of me.
