rolling hills of Eastern Ohio, towpath to Bolivar, lunch at the Tavern
Last night, I camped at Leesville Lake South Fork Campground, which was mostly RV's that were permanently settled in. I was pretty tired when I rolled in. I was the only tenter and wanted electricity and water, so they put me near a pavilion that had both. I got all settled into my tent for the night and decided to take a quick look at the weather for the next day. I showed thunder/lightening a 7 am and to be continued later in the morning. I immediately moved my camp to pavilion. It did rain lightly in the morning before I got up, but not storms. It didn't rain again until I got on the canal towpath at about 11:30 am.
Finally off the hilly country roads and onto the Canal Trail leading to Bolivar. Of course it started to rain for the 6 miles I was on it, there were mud holes every 100 ft or so. Still, nice to be riding level ground.
I pulled into Bolivar at noon and I was hungry. I stopped at the Towpath Tavern on Main Street and ate way too much, but I had a great time share stories with Mike and Mike. There are two locals taking a late lunch break from their construction job. .... very interesting couple of guys.
Staying at the Sleep Inn tonight just to get cleaned up better and get a good night's sleep. Ger is staying here too, taking a lay-over day.
