We continued our northeast march to Chicago under a cloudy sky but stayed dry today.

Wilmington also featured Gemini Man, built in 1964 in part to capitalize on America’s fascination with the space race.

The Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie is a 9,000 acre protected area that seeks to reinstate the indigenous flora before farming reshaped the landscape.

It features an excellent gravel trail through the lush landscape.

The last camping night of the trip is appropriately located within view of interstate 80. The dulcet tones will lull us to sleep once more.
