It's too darn hot, it's too darn hot; I'd like to bike with my Rocky today. I'd like to rock with my Rocky today. I'd like to roll with my Rocky today. I'd like to ride with my Rocky today, but she won't ride with her hubby today. She'll take a hike where it's cooler today, 'cause it's too darn hot.
So she went up to Leif Erickson Drive where it's cooler and shady for her 11 miler today, coming back with precisely zero pictures because she's been there twice in the last week already.
For me though, this is just the excuse I need to drive out to Sauvie Island for some first class birding, because seeing the island in the middle of the day on the hottest day of the summer so far should really bring the birds out. But I'm wrong, and the birds are mostly hiding. 'Cause it's too darn hot.
I do see a few things of note though. Sorry it's so bright and not great for photography either. I should come back and do this again at dawn.
#168: Barn swallow. Another identification problem at first but it's because it's another youngster, having a hard time finding its balance on the wire.
