Day 12-13: Batty
We stayed at a hot springs place for our day off, and the coolest thing we did was hike to a cave that is inhabited by 250,000 bats! They were not ALL. In residence yet because it is early in the season but there were still a LOT of them.
At sunset they all fly out, pretty much withing about 20 minutes, in waves. I have seen things like this on TV but never in person. I took video of the event but you have to look closely to see the bats flying out because the camera does not know what to focus on...
