Day 18...Humboldt Redwoods SP to Standish Hickey Rec area

When you stop laughing, it actually is a very cool place with some great wood carvings.

The Eel River, must have crossed it 15 times the past two days.

The day started with an awesome 17 mile ride through the rest of the Avenue of the Giants. The redwoods are just so cool. Today was the most climbing in a day so far and tomorrow is the biggest climb of the entire trip outside Leggett. Tomorrow the second half of the day takes us back to the coast. Lunch today at about the halfway point in Barnesville at the Eel River Cafe with Curt, one of our band of traveling gypsies.

Directly across the highway from the camp is a deli, market, restaurant called The Peg House and there is a band cranking it up tonight so we are doing that. Warmest day of the trip so far, maybe 70. Great night with everyone at The Peg House!!
