A quiet day on the farm

Today was a lovely day spent at the farm.

Seavo got a major clean up and some TLC after the wet, muddy and gravel routes we had to ride over on this trip.

Georg and Justus trimmed the nails of some of the sheep. We watched the process, as did the other sheep who looked happy not to be getting a pedicure.

The four girls are huddled together, watchful and apprehensive. It was like they were trying to disappear in to the woodwork.

They know what is coming as their nails must be trimmed every 2 months.

Oh dear, I'm first!

Justus has to use all of his strength to get the sheep into a sitting position

The next few times that the sheep see the man in the green shirt they will run and hide

In the past a local shepherd has been hired to trim the toe nails of the sheep. Georg and Justus are now feeling confident that they can do the job. This sheep seems to be enjoying her manicure.

All the sheep have a special bond with Justus.

Seavo is getting washed and polished so that he will look great while hibernating in the former swimming pool for the next nine months.
