Week 4: into Prague: mostly following the Elbe and Vltava Rivers

Prague is a beautiful city and easy to navigate into by following bike paths. We reach the city center and look for Carlos's place. Carlos was a warmshowers guest of ours in Boise Idaho last summer. He rode the Idaho Hot Springs Mountain bike loop developed by Adventure Cycling in Missoula Montana. He teaches business management classes and knows the city very well.

Later, we receive a message from Anders, the Biking Viking, that he is also in Prague. Anders stayed with us through warmshowers in 2010. He mainly runs marathons and uses his bike in between.

The evening was great fun!

The Elbe bridge in Litomerice is closed. Fortunately they have constructed a temporary pedestrian/bike bridge.

Carlos is our warmshowers host in Prague. Last year he stayed with us a couple of days before he embarked on the Idaho Hot Spings Loop.

In the afternoon we receive a message that Anders, the Biking-Viking Swedish cyclist/marathon runner who visited us in Boise in 2010 is also in town. We all meet up in a pub to drink tank-beer, unpasteurized, non-carbonated beer that gets delivered in tank-trucks straight to the pubs. In Carlos's words: "this is how God intended beer to be". Who are we to argue.....

Amazing how all that stuff fits into pannier bags and then just explodes as soon as we have accommodation.
