to Aldama: and this would be the other half

Even though it will be another short day we get an early start again. We ride across the old bride out of town, then rejoin the nice new road. There is a pretty sunrise over the Gulf of Mexico.

The road follows the laguna for a while, then turns inland towards some distant hills. It is hot again, and no stores until we get close to Aldama. We find the Hotel Rancho Viejo, get a good room and have Chinese for lunch.

Tomorrow a long day headed north towards the border.

We cross another river just before sunrise. Fishing boats are being readied to head out.

Good thing we don't have a headwind here. There are only a few clouds though and it gets hot fast.

Purple crab making his way across the road. Many do not make it across, the road is littered with their remains.
