restday in Palolem: Goa beach town

We have found a nice quiet spot with San Pedru Coco huts, close to the beach yet not noisy from the beach crowd....until early morning and the crows wake up. The porch of the hut is a lovely place to relax and a good place for Patrick to work on the bikes. Laundry is being done by the guesthouse for 180 rupees ($3) giving Rachel a break from that chore.

A very nice rest day!

Cows, crows and dogs munch on just about all garbage. We see a cow eat a cardboard box.

Our bikes need some maintenance. The chains have picked-up quite a bit of grit over the last weeks.

Mainstreet Palolem has a lot of temporary shops that all sell the same stuff.

Our plywood hut in a nice grove of palmtrees about 100 meter off the beach.

Some clouds have moved in and cause a pretty sunset.
