Huaraz: carnaval!
Our goal and plan was to do little today. We had a nice (home) cooked breakfast and did some route planning for the next week of riding. All morning we have heard exploding fireworks and music, today is carnival! Not thinking much about it we walk to the Plaza d'Armas at about noon and catch the beginning of the carnival parade! The next couple of hours we stand by the road side with a couple of thousand Huaraz citizens watching an amazing parade of dancing and celebrating people. We'll let the photos do the talking.
