Day 14: Kickers and Kindness

Vert: ~3800 ft

Not camping! Sleeping in a hotel at 11,500 ft

Camp to hotel time : 8.5 hours (lots of picture breaks and snack breaks today)

Today was a great day! Today was the type of day you picture when you imagine how the trip will pan out. It starts by waking up to clear skies. Then, spending the morning climbing a beautiful pass that is hard, but manageable and rewarding. The hard climb is followed by a lovely lunch filled with fruit and bread bought from a sweet man from a local tienda in a cute town. The afternoon is spent on rolling descents through a beautiful nature reserve full of waterfalls and blue lagoons. The day ends in the nicest hotel you have slept in yet.

That was today for us! We are happily tucked into clean sheets and enjoying a relaxing evening after a very rewarding day!

Beautiful series of waterfalls today!
