Train to Trani - Wandering in Puglia - CycleBlaze

Train to Trani

With my heavy duffle bag and bike box, I’m glad the walk to the train station is a short one. And there is platform 6, the one we (don’t) want. Turns out there is another platform 6 we are supposed to go to.  Good thing I budgeted time for problem solving.

Three polizia walk through every so often, checking for mask compliance. Otherwise, a quiet trip with a change in a Barletta.

Not just bicycles, but accommodating e-bikes on certain Trenitalia cars.

Bob KoreisTo Steve Miller/GrampiesIt’s actually not too bad, but a stand would help. Website for our accommodation says it has a shop area with tools and stand. Nope. Just a large room where we could store the box.

So my accommodation, a B&B with no breakfast, advertised as being bicycle friendly with tools and other materials.  Well, they do have a storage room, but that’s it. No pump, stand, or workbench. Makes this a bit more challenging when I’m doing it solo for the first time.

It’s a bike.

Bob KoreisThank you. But it took me longer than it should have. Smiley at R&E Cycles told me they had couple order bikes with the S&S couplers because they live on a sailboat. Put the bikes together, go for a ride, take them apart and store. Something to be said for practice.
