Piedmont day 10 Cortemilla loop

Today’s route (https://ridewithgps.com/trips/289111070)Before I write about today, I have to mention last night- Last night we had this amazing 8 course dinner by Chef Carlo specially designed for our group. It was just a foodies’s dream with incredible flavors as well as presentations. Cortemilla is the home of hazelnuts so we had hazelnut in all type of forms including a crème (and luckily dairy free!)
Another surreal day in Italy. It’s so amazing that we see maybe 20 cars in 5 hours. We’re just riding by ourselves on these lovely roads and listening to birds all day chattering away (heard a cuckoo yesterday). Then you just come upon an old church ruin and yet it’s got rose bushes and hostas outside
Today brought more quiet roads, more longer climbs, and more tight hairpin descents which just never get old. We passed a cute town with an outdoor “art gallery” that really showed the pride in towns of their community. There was also a stunning huge field of lavender. These little surprises are so fun.
