We explored Turin with a several hour walking tour followed by the Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile. Turin has a population of about 900,000 and is generally considered an industrial city. It has a strong history of manufacturing and engineering, particularly in the automotive industry, with Fiat being a major presence (T in Fiat stands for Turin). It was home to the Winter Olympics in 2006 and is the capital city of the Piedmont region and famous for cuisine and architecture. Old buildings and statues abound like any Italian city but Brick structures are unique to Turin.
