8/25/19 - Richardson SP to Standish-Hickey SP
Upon looking at the elevation profile the other day, we opted to keep this day short.
This shorter day turned out to be a great idea since it was also hot and windy. I did mention that I was ready to turn around and ride back to Oregon where it’s cooler.
Following the ACA map, we crossed 101 to continue on 271 and spotted a “Road Closed 1.4 Miles Ahead” sign. We decided to take our chances and would double back if necessary.
We were in luck because it was Sunday so no construction was going on. We did find the short segment of construction where cars definitely would not have been able to go through but plenty of room for our bikes.
