Rehoboth Beach Reprieve

I am in Rehoboth Beach for four days! Doing nothing but relaxing, eating, and visiting with friends. Oh, and going to the beach for a bit. I am staying in Eagles Landing with a dear friend, Bill Hillegeist, who has been on three bike tours with me: Provence, the Italian Lake District, and Northern Central Italy (Abruzzo, Umbria, and Tuscany).

Morning on the terrace . . . Fountain View and Fountain Noise. An inside joke.

After breakfast at the house . . . a pedicure! Loved it. Calluses be gone!

Bill had errands to do, so I hit the pool for some sun, followed by dinner on the terrace.

After another afternoon at the pool and drinks at happy hour, I made crab cakes for dinner.

. . . in butter for that golden, crispy look.

First day on the beach. In spite of spending most of the last six weeks outside, I still have many square inches of body that are very, very white.

So lots of suntan lotion . . . but I still did a walkabout up and down the beach . . . showing off my biker tan lines.

After another happy hour, dinner at Cuvée Ray, the latest "in" restaurant in Rehoboth. Foie gras for an appetizer.
