First Rest Day in Québec City

Wednesday, July 4, 2018

Jerry's report today:

"Today and tomorrow are rest days in Québec city so no biking. We rode a local bus out to the Parc de la Chute-Montmorency and walked all around this impressive waterfall. I passed on the zip line you can take from one side of the falls to the other. Watch for Lee's video of people flying across."
The Montmorency Falls, or Chutes Montmorency in French, as seen before the descent.

The plunge pool . . . it's a long ways down, a 275-foot (84-meter) drop.

One way down is to walk the long stairs seen on the right. This will get you to the plunge pool. But there are other means of access that provide different perspectives, including an aerial tram and a suspension bridge.

Here, you can see the suspension bridge . . . which appears quite full!

It looks like they walked downstream a bit for this picture and then crossed around the Montmorency River to take the tram back up to the park pavilion (Manoir Montmorency).
