Day 5 - More climbing

Yesterday and today I spent a total of 22 miles on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Yesterday was a lot of clouds and several downpours. Today was glorious with sunny weather all day

Rolled into Lexington, VA which is the home of Virginia Military Institute. Every single building is painted this green/grey color

This was still a day with a lot of climbs. Total ascent of 5,600 feet and descent of 4,170 feet. The descent from the Blue Ridge Parkway to Vesuvius was so steep and long I had to stop several times to give my hands a rest from constant breaking.


Today's ride: 59 miles (95 km)
Total: 306 miles (492 km)
