Day four Inverloch Rest Day

Meeting John and Rosemary

John, a former President of Knox Bicycle Touring Club and his partner Rosemary had retired to the coast at Inverloch so after we arrived on the Saturday Mike phoned him and we arranged to meet at their favourite coffee shop on Sunday morning. We spent an enjoyable hour or so in the warmth of the Beaches and Cream coffee shop catching up and discussing the benefits of retiring to a small coastal town.

Over morning tea we discussed all our news of our journey so far, and John provided first hand knowledge of the condition of the roads we might  cycle along as we made our way towards Bairnsdale.

After leaving John & Rosemary we wandered around Inverloch and visited the Information Centre and looked at their local maps and information sheets. The Information Centre  was located in the Inverloch Community Hub next door to the library in A'Beckett Street.
