Laem Sing to Laem Mae Phim

Last day on the beach, not quite!

After we actually wanted to go to Klaeng today, Pathfinder Ute took a look at the map again and found out that this would have been quite nonsense. Because we would leave the coast, drive a bit inland and then drive along the coast again tomorrow.

She was right again.

So we slightly changed our route and drove to Laem Mae Phim instead.

The route to Mae Phim was mostly along the coast, so we had a long sea view. We had a bicycle path almost the whole time, the traffic was comparatively quiet and pleasant. Due to the "Thailand big Trip" there were more motorcyclists on the road than we have seen in all our Thailand holidays in total. Really a very attractive tour, because of the sea, partly along mangrove accumulations, very, very nice.

This Mae Phim, where we are now, has a nice big beach and seems to be a popular holiday resort for better off Thais and also for Farangs.

At the beach there are also some of the terror busses, which passed us on the way - partly with sound.

I think, every traffic policeman and every TÜV inspector (also those of every other company) would be thievishly happy, if he would find something like this on German roads. The loudspeakers in front are real - and they are capable of serious volume... 😉

We rented a very nice - and not very cheap - room at Hey Ha Na Vee and are now actually sitting with the local Italian and eating pasta and pizza. 🤣🤣🤣

One culinary deviation from the local cuisine per holiday is allowed...

Now we have only two real days on the bike ahead of us - and those are quite short rides. Crazy, but in a week we'll be sitting on the plane again and wondering where time has gone.

Von wegen letzter Tag am Strand!

Nachdem wir heute eigentlich nach Klaeng fahren wollten, hat Pathfinder Ute mal wieder in die Karte geschaut und festgestellt, dass das ziemlicher Quatsch wäre. Denn wir würden die Küste verlassen, ein Stück ins Landesinnere fahren, um morgen dann wieder an der Küste entlang zu fahren.

Da hatte sie mal wieder recht.

Also haben wir unsere Route leicht geändert und sind kurzentschlossen nach Laem Mae Phim gefahren.

Die Strecke dorthin ging zu einem großen Teil an der Küste entlang, so dass wir lange Meerblick hatten. Wir hatten fast die gesamte Zeit einen Fahrradweg, der Verkehr war vergleichsweise ruhig und angenehm. Auf Grund des „Thailand big Trip“ waren mehr Motorradfahrer unterwegs, als wir in allen unseren Thailandurlauben insgesamt gesehen haben.

Wirklich eine sehr schöne Tour, wegen des Meers, teilweise entlang von Mangrovenansammlungen, sehr, sehr nett.

Dieses Mae Phim, wo wir jetzt sind, hat einen schönen großen Strand und scheint ein beliebter Ferienort für besser betuchte Thais und auch für Farangs zu sein.

Am Strand stehen auch einige der Terrorbusse, die uns - zum Teil mit Beschallung - unterwegs überholt haben.

Ich denke, jeder Verkehrspolizist und jeder TÜV-Prüfer (auch die jeder anderen Gesellschaft) würde sich diebisch freuen, wenn er sowas auf deutschen Straßen antreffen würde. Die Lautsprecher vorne sind echt - und es kommt ordentlich was raus… 😉

Wir haben ein sehr hübsches - und nicht ganz billiges - Zimmer im Hey Ha Na Vee gemietet und sitzen jetzt tatsächlich beim ortsansässigen Italiener und haben Pasta und Pizza verspeist. 🤣🤣🤣

Eine kulinarische Abweichung von der lokalen Küche pro Urlaub ist erlaubt…

Jetzt haben wir nur noch zwei echte Fahrtage vor uns - und die sind recht kurz. Verrückt, aber in einer Woche sitzen wir schon wieder im Flieger und fragen uns, wo die Zeit geblieben ist…
